Café Modern werd in 2009 gekozen als "Strafste Café" van Vlaanderen in het programma Vlaanderen Vakantieland. En met recht en rede. Dit Café en eethuis werd ondergebracht in het oude schooltje van Teuven. Daarbij werd heel wat van de oude school bewaard. De krijtborden hangen er nog in de eetzaal, de toiletten zijn er nog in authentieke stijl en op de speelplaats is er een terras gemaakt.
