Station Mechelen is het belangrijkste spoorwegstation in de stad Mechelen. Dankzij de centrale ligging van Mechelen groeide het station uit tot een spoorwegknooppunt. Spoorlijnen 25 en 27 en lijn 53 komen hier samen. Ten westen van het station, in de deelgemeente Hombeek, bevindt zich het beginpunt van spoorlijn 54 . In 2012 opende de nieuwe spoorlijn 25N .
