Beschrijving : Het moerassengebied van Harchies-Hensies-Pommeroeul, beter bekend als het moeras van Harchies (Marais d’Harchies), is in het Waals Gewest een van de belangrijkste plekken voor vogelliefhebbers en –specialisten. Het is een belangrijk doorgangsgebied tijdens de trek en biedt ideale overwinteringsomstandigheden voor veel soorten vogels. Voor ornithologen zijn de vogels natuurlijk het belangrijkst, maar dit “biologisch belangwekkende wetland” biedt ook onderdak aan veel andere biologische schatten.
