Middelkerke telt een 8 km lang zandstrand met 16 bewaakte zones en 6 EHBO-posten.
Sport, zee, strand, een mooie mix om onder leiding van sportanimatoren je volledig uit te leven. Tijdens de zomermaanden juli en augustus kan je in Middelkerke t.h.v. de Prosper Poulletstraat en in Westende t.h.v. de Meeuwenlaan op het strand kiezen tussen volgende sporten: jogging, fitheidsgym, beachvolley, golfing, beachvoetbal of spel.
Er zijn heel wat stranddouches vrij te gebruiken.
