Mellet is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen, en een deelgemeente van de Waalse gemeente Les Bons Villers.Mellet was een zelfstandige gemeente, tot die bij de gemeentelijke herindeling van 1977 toegevoegd werd aan de gemeente Les Bons Villers. Het dorp wordt ook wel village des carottes genoemd door de inwoners van de naburige gemeenten. Deze bijnaam komt van de overvloedige teelt van wortelen. Wortelen dienen zelfs als symbool voor de verschillende activiteiten die het hele jaar door in het dorp plaatsvinden.
