Arquennes is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen en een deelgemeente van de Waalse gemeente Seneffe. Arquennes was een zelfstandige gemeente tot die bij de gemeentelijke herindeling van 1977 toegevoegd werd aan de gemeente Seneffe. Het dorp ligt in de vallei van de Samme die in de 19e eeuw grotendeels gekanaliseerd werd bij de bouw van het Kanaal Charleroi-Brussel. Na de ingebruikname van het Hellend vlak van Ronquières en het aansluitende nieuwe kanaalpand in 1968 verdween de scheepvaart op de Samme.
