Arquennes è un villaggio del Paese Romano, al confine tra la provincia di Hainaut e il Brabante Vallone, in Belgio. Amministrativamente fa parte del comune di Seneffe. Arquennes è un villaggio molto antico del Paese Romano di Brabante, collegato con la provincia di Hainaut dal 17 febbraio 1800 e attualmente annesso al comune di Seneffe. Nel 1125 era scritto 'Arkenna', nel 1137: 'Archenne' e nel 1147: 'Arken' fino al 1827[nota necessaria]. Allo stesso modo, paese della pietra, sono state rilevate 20 marche di maestri di cava, risalenti dal 1580 al 1759 e la loro importante corporazione ha portato qui e all'estero il rinombre di Arquennes. Antiche cave sono state riempite e altre sono state inondate naturalmente contribuendo così alla varietà del importante potenziale turistico. La Samme è stata resa navigabile per facilitare il trasporto della pietra.
