Mere is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen en een deelgemeente van Erpe-Mere. Mere heeft 5033 inwoners en is daarmee de deelgemeente met het meeste aantal inwoners, het heeft een oppervlakte van 5,77 km². Mere is gelegen aan de Molenbeek-Ter Erpenbeek. Het wordt omringd door Erpe, Ottergem, Bambrugge, Aaigem, Haaltert en Nieuwerkerken . Mere ligt in de Denderstreek. Op de grens van Erpe, Mere en de Aalsterse deelgemeente Nieuwerkerken bevindt zich het gehucht Edixvelde.
