Courcelles is een plaats en gemeente in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen. De gemeente telt ruim 31.000 inwoners. Courcelles ligt ten westen van Charleroi, in de stedelijke rand, en ervan gescheiden door het Kanaal Charleroi-Brussel.
In de ochtend van 18 augustus 1944 vonden 19 burgers de dood in Courcelles. Ze werden door rexisten afgemaakt met een nekschot als represaille voor de door het verzet vermoorde burgemeester Oswald Englebin. Na de oorlog werden 80 daders veroordeeld, waarvan er 27 werden terechtgesteld.
