Dit natuurreservaat ligt op een steile valleiwand van de Schelde. Het bos is eigendom van Natuurpunt vzw en de Vlaamse Overheid. Sinds 1992 houdt een werkgroep van vrijwilligers zich bezig met het bosbeheer. Wandelaars kunnen het waardevolle gebied verkennen langs twee wandelroutes.
