Deze woning is een zeer sierlijk exemplaar. De architect is een Brusselaar, Symons. Het huis werd in 1921 gebouwd, naar een ouder ontwerp. Hoewel er wel enkele verwijzingen naar de cottagestijl zijn, kunnen we hier onmogelijk van een zuivere cottage spreken.
'La Josette', zoals de woning heet, heeft meer in haar mars dan dat. Zo verwijzen de omlijstingen van deuren en vensters, de ovale raampjes op de eerste verdieping en de vormgeving van het pseudovakwerk van de erker naar de art nouveau.
Sinds 2001 is dit burgerhuis opgenomen op de lijst van beschermde monumenten.
