De brouwerij Palm startte op in een hofstede die reeds vermeld werd in 1597. Het is onduidelijk of daar toen al bier gebrouwen werd. Dat was zeker het geval in 1747, toen er een volkstelling was. Toen noemde het brouwerij "De Hoorn" dat in 1929 uitgroeien tot Palm.
