Hier vind je onder meer enkele grote zeedennen, te herkennen aan hun grove schors, hun lange naalden en enorme dennenkegels. De zeeden is afkomstig uit het Middellandse Zeegebied en werd hier ingevoerd vanaf de 19e eeuw omwille van zijn snelle groei. De zeeden groeit hier bij ons vaak opvallend scheef. De bomen in de zandvlakte even verderop, zijn als solitaire bomen opgegroeid in een open heidelandschap. De brede kruinen zijn er alle richtingen uitgegroeid. Bijzonder zijn de ondergestoven zomereiken. Zij lijken geen stam te hebben; deze is door het zand bedolven. Het geeft een beeld van de zandverstuivingen die hier in het verleden plaatsvonden.
