Deze kloosterkerk bevindt zich aan de west-vleugel van de burcht, het voormaling Grafelijk Slot van Male waarin de Sint-Trudoabdij sinds 1954 gevestigd is. Ze is ontworpen door architect A. Degeyter en werd geconsacreerd in 1956.
Centraal is het priesterkoor met het altaar en daarboven een triompkruis uit de 15de eeuw. In het schip van de kerk zijn in de linkerwand de kruiswegstaties gegrift door R. Vandeweghe en rechts zijn er glasramen waarin o.a. Sint Trudo en Sint Augustinus zijn afgebeeld, ontwerp van C. Martens.
In het zusterkoor komt de gemeenschap, samen met leken dagelijks bijeen voor het Getijdengebed en de viering van de Eucharistie. Zij beleeft de liturgie met het volk, in verbondenheid met de lokale kerk en met de wereldkerk.
Het is een sober kerkgebouw dat uitnodigt tot gebed.
