Grote Homo is een woonwijk van de Belgische gemeente Dilsen-Stokkem die zich bevindt tussen Niel-bij-As en Lanklaar , onmiddellijk ten oosten van het Stokkemerbos.De merkwaardige naam van deze wijk is ontstaan door een verbastering van Joseph Haumont , die opzichter was bij het Departement van Bruggen en Wegen, en die daarnaast ook filosoof en dichter was. Toen hij zich in 1840 terugtrok liet hij een huis bouwen dat Groot-Homo genoemd werd.
