Terril de l'Heribus is een relict van de steenkoolmijngeschiedenis van deze streek. Je kan deze beklimmen! Het biedt een prachtige kijk op de omgeving. Wist je dat een terril ook nog zelf warmte produceert. Bij sneeuwval zal je zien dat er vele plaatsen op de terril sneller sneeuwvrij zijn omdat die terril dus zelf warmte produceert. Soms tref je er ook plantjes aan die die extra warmte nodig hebben zoals wilde tijm, valse salie en slangenkruid.
