Voormalige Berg van Barmhartigheid, in 1620 opgericht door Wenceslas Cobergher en gevestigd in de verbouwde Engelse Pakhuizen uit 1561. Na de afschaffing van de Berg van Barmhartigheid in 1946, werden de gebouwen grondig verbouwd naar een ontwerp door stadsarchitect André Fivez uit 1949-1954, en op 15 december 1956 ingehuldigd als Stadsarchief van Antwerpen. Daarbij bleven de historische voorbouw en de huisjes rond de binnentuin behouden, maar werd in de westelijke helft van deze laatste een monolitische, quasi vierkant archieftoren van zeven bouwlagen ingeplant. In 2006 verhuisde het Stadsarchief naar het Sint-Felixpakhuis aan de Oudeleeuwenrui-Godefriduskaai.
