Kasteel Achtendries, ook kasteel Voorde geheten. Huidige kasteel in classicistische stijl opgetrokken op de resten van een oudere constructie (zichtbaar in de kelderverdieping) opklimmend tot de late middeleeuwen. Het toponiem "achtene", dat een prehistorische oorsprong zou hebben, is tevens gekoppeld aan een herenhoeve op de Achtendries daterend van voor 630. Het kasteel was vroeger omwald en bezat ook een toegangsdreef die het verbond met het hof van Achtene. De enig overblijvende getuigenis van deze oude pachthoeve is een ronde, gemetste bakstenen hekpijler in het nabije straatje genaamd Achtene.
