Natuurreservaat De Kleiputten van Heist herbergt 22 hectare natuurschoon temidden van de Vlaamse kustpolders. Laaggelegen weilanden met moerassen en brede rietkragen vormen er een gedroomd verblijfsoord van vogels en amfibieën. De ‘Kleiputten van Heist’ zijn in twee verdeeld door de spoorwegverbinding Heist-Brugge en ook door de Isabellavaart.
