De Zandbergen is een gebied van maar liefst 22 hectare dat in de jaren '70 van de vorige eeuw ontstond bij de aanleg van de E19.
Met de jaren ontstond er spontaan een groengebied met gemengd bos en open zandvlaktes. De steile hellingen en kleine paadjes maken van de Zandbergen een heel avontuurlijk gebied.
