De Schietstand van Marcinelle, een voormalige schietbaan, is een van de meest markante herdenkingsplaatsen van Charleroi, vol emotie en geschiedenis, aangezien het getuige was van de dood van ongeveer 50 mensen, geëxecuteerd door de nazi's tijdens de bezetting. Onder hen de majoor Servais, de commandant Massart, de luitenant Evrard en andere helden wiens namen ons niet bekend zijn.
