Een park moet geen spectaculaire attracties hebben om aantrekkelijk te zijn. Vraag dat maar aan de buurtbewoners van het Te Boelaerpark. Die vinden massaal de weg naar dit fijne buurtpark. Ook in de middeleeuwen was dit trouwens een plek voor ontspanning. Die was toen wel gereserveerd voor adel en kooplui die er hun buitenverblijf hadden.
Vandaag zijn sport, spel en ontspanning hier de hoofdbezigheden. De oude bosbodem is een prima ondergrond voor plantensoorten als bosanemoon, salomonszegel, bostulp en kleinbladige klimop.
