Deze waterval is gelegen in het park van Chateau de la Fraineuse
Aan het einde van de 19e eeuw kochten de families Simonis en Peltzer de Clermont, industriëlen die hun stempel hebben gedrukt op de geschiedenis van de wolindustrie in Verviers, het terrein en bouwden dit mooie kasteel in "pierres de France" (Franse stenen), geïnspireerd op het Petit Trianon van Versailles. Naast het grotendeels beboste landgoed en het kasteel werden er ook bijgebouwen gebouwd: de "frainette" voor de stallen en de "fermette" voor de tuinmanswoning.
Sinds 1967 is op deze plaats een sportcentrum ADEPS gevestigd.
