De Koepoortstraat was vroeger dé uitgaansbuurt van Ninove, met danscafés tot in de jaren ’90. Vandaag vind je er nog ’t Café, waar Marc je een frisse pint tapt.
Al generaties lang is hier café gehouden. In de jaren 30 was het een trefpunt voor bollingclub De Lustige Bolders. Van de jaren 60 tot 80 vond je hier het supporterslokaal van FC Ninove, onder de naam Groen‑Zwart. Later werd het Café Koepoort en zelfs even een eethuis.
Volgens de legende zit in dit pand de oudste balk van Ninove! Marc vult het interieur met vintage radio’s, tv’s en oude voorwerpen uit verdwenen (Ninoofse) cafés. De toog zelf is al zo’n 100 jaar oud. Let wel: het café is enkel open “als ’t past”.
