Houffalize is een Belgische stad in de provincie Luxemburg, die aan de oever van de Ourthe ligt. De stad telt ongeveer 5000 inwoners.
In Houffalize stonden ooit drie kastelen. Het meest recente - uit de 17e eeuw - werd door een bombardement tijdens de slag om de Ardennen verwoest. In de Sint-Catharinakerk ligt een goed bewaard gebleven gisant gebeeldhouwd van zwarte kalksteen voor de dertiende-eeuwse graaf Diederik II van Houffalize. De kerk is het enige restant van een voormalig klooster.
