Het sinds 1976 geopende Porschemuseum aan de Porscheplatz is klein, maar geliefd bij kenners. Omdat slechts zo'n twintig auto's kunnen worden getoond, loont het de moeite meerdere bezoeken te brengen aangezien de verzameling regelmatig wordt gewisseld. Het gebouw ligt naast de ingang van Werk II in stadsdeel Zuffenhausen van Stuttgart.
Het is al jarenlang behelpen in een kleine ruimte, maar vanaf 2007 beschikt Porsche over een gloednieuw eigen museum met een oppervlakte van vijfduizend vierkante meter. Er is ruimte voor tachtig auto's. Het door een Weens architectenbureau ontworpen gebouw heeft een futuristische uitstraling.
