Coblenz is een stad in Duitsland die behoort tot de deelstaat Rijnland-Palts. Het ligt aan de linkeroever van de Rijn, op het punt waar het de wateren van de Mosel ontvangt.
De naam Koblenz komt waarschijnlijk van het Latijnse Confluentes.
Het was een van de militaire posten die Drusus rond het jaar 8 v.Chr. oprichtte. De stad vierde haar 2000-jarig bestaan in 1992.
