Lengerich is een stad en gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen, gelegen in de Kreis Steinfurt. De gemeente telt 22.511 inwoners op een oppervlakte van 90,77 km².
De stad Lengerich ligt in het Teutoburger Woud, en wel grotendeels aan de zuidkam van het meest westelijke gedeelte ervan. Ten zuiden ervan ligt vlak boerenland op ca. 50 meter boven zeeniveau.
De noordelijke buurgemeente is Tecklenburg. Lengerich ligt ca. 18 km ten zuidwesten van het centrum van Osnabrück. Via Ladbergen bereikt men 9 km verder de stad Greven.
