Glückstadt is een plaats in de Duitse deelstaat Sleeswijk-Holstein, en maakt deel uit van de Kreis Steinburg.
Glückstadt telt 10.779 inwoners. De stad ligt aan de Elbe en heeft een veerverbinding met Wischhafen in Nedersaksen.
De stad werd in 1617 door koning Christian IV van Denemarken gesticht, op speciaal daartoe ingedijkt polderland. Het was eertijds hoofdstad van het Hertogdom Holstein.
De stad is in Noord-Duitsland zeer bekend door de 'matjes'-productie .
