Norderney is een van de Duitse Waddeneilanden. Het eiland is in zijn geheel een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen behorende tot het Landkreis Aurich, en heeft officieel de status van stad. Het eiland is ongeveer 14 kilometer lang en 2 kilometer breed, heeft een oppervlakte van zo'n 25 km² en telt circa 6000 inwoners. De gelijknamige hoofdplaats ligt aan de westkant van het eiland en is een belangrijke badplaats. Norderney kan zowel per vliegtuig als veerboot bereikt worden. Ook kunnen vanuit Norderney Borkum, Juist, Baltrum, Langeoog en Helgoland worden bereikt.
