Düren is een stad en gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen en de hoofdstad van Kreis Düren. De gemeente telt 91.272 inwoners op een oppervlakte van 85,00 km².
Düren ligt in het Rijnland tussen de Eifel in het zuidwesten en de grotendeels door de bruinkoolwinning sterk veranderde, door landbouw gedomineerde, gebieden in het oosten. De stad ligt reeds sinds de Romeinse tijd op een strategisch punt, halverwege Keulen en Aken.
