Het haltepunt Essen-Borbeck Zuid is een bedrijfsplaats van de spoorlijn Mülheim-Heißen–Oberhausen-Osterfeld Noord in de Essense wijk Schönebeck. Het haltepunt wordt sinds 1998 uitsluitend bediend door lijn S9 van de S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr.
De bedrijfsplaats ligt op kilometer 11,606 van de VzG-spoorlijn 2280. Het haltepunt heeft een middenperron van 76 centimeter hoog met een lengte van 216 meter. De toegang gebeurt via twee trapopgangen aan het noord- en zuideinde van het perron met uitgang naar de Altendorfer Straße en de straat Dreigarbenfeld. Er is geen toegankelijkheid voor mindervaliden.
