De Historische Molen van Sanssouci is de reconstructie van een galeriehollander die tussen 1787 en 1791 onder Friedrich Wilhelm II werd gebouwd. Hij staat enkele meters ten westen van het Potsdamer Schloss Sanssouci en is bekend geworden door een voorganger, waarover de legende De molenaar van Sanssouci bestaat; daarop verwijst de toevoeging "historisch". Vanwege dit verhaal wordt hij vooral geassocieerd met de Pruisische koning Friedrich II.
Aan het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog brandde de houten molenopbouw af tijdens gevechten. Na restauratiewerkzaamheden aan de stenen voet in de jaren '80 werd hij tussen 1991 en 1993 weer opgebouwd. Het molengebouw, dat wordt beheerd door de Stichting Pruisische Kastelen en Tuinen Berlijn-Brandenburg en onder monumentenzorg staat, wordt sinds 1995 museaal geëxploiteerd door de Molenvereniging Berlijn-Brandenburg e.V.
