De Burcht van Gemen staat in Gemen, een Stadtteil van Borken , in het Münsterlandse landschap in het vroegere moerasgebied van de Duits-Nederlandse Aa-strang. Het huidige waterslot ontstond na een geleidelijk verbouwing van een meer dan 900 jaar oude burcht, die ooit door de heren van Gemen, een van de destijds meest invloedrijkste adelgeslachten van Westfalen, werd bewoond.
