Maienwerder is het zuidelijkste van de zeven eilanden in de Tegeler See in het Berlijnse stadsdeel Reinickendorf, wijk Tegel. Het is 440 meter lang en tot 220 meter breed en heeft een oppervlakte van 56.571 m². Het ligt slechts 40 meter van de Kleine Malche, een van de Tegeler See afgetrokken waterdeel in het zuiden.
Het eiland maakt deel uit van het in 1960 opgerichte landschapbeschermingsgebied LSG-2C Eilanden in de Tegeler See. Het gebruik is daardoor aan aanzienlijke beperkingen onderhevig en vereist gedeeltelijk, zoals bijvoorbeeld bij oeveruitbreidingen en bij de aanleg van bootsteigers, speciale vergunningen van de natuurbeschermingsautoriteit.
