De op 21 december 1914 ingewijde Martin-Lutherkerk, een eenvoudige bouw met apsis en een aan de zijkant toegevoegd toren, wordt toegeschreven aan de late jugendstil. De plaats Zeuthen kreeg daarmee zijn eerste kerk. Sinds 1985 staat de kerk onder monumentenzorg en is opgenomen in de lijst van beschermde monumenten in Zeuthen.
De drie plaatsen Zeuthen, Miersdorf en Gersdorf worden voor het eerst in 1375 in het landboek van Karel IV officieel genoemd. In 1860 telde het kleine dorp Zeuthen slechts 122 inwoners. Gersdorf wordt voor het laatst in 1860 genoemd en toen al als de boswachterij Wüstemark.
