De Wipper is een goed 92 km lange, linker en westelijke en de langste zijrivier van de Unstrut in het noorden van Thüringen, Duitsland. De Wipper, inclusief de oude armen van de gemeenten Kannawurf en Kindelbrück, behoort volgens de Thüringer watervwet van de afsplitsing van het Flutgraben in Worbis tot de inlaat in de Unstrut tot de wateren van de eerste orde.
De Wipper voert door de voormalige kalimestwinning in het gebied nog altijd zout mee; deze wordt langs de gehele rivierloop als "gematigd belast" geclassificeerd. Deze zoutlast wordt via zouthoudende afwateringen van de afvalbergen en door het loogstapelbekken Wipperdorf gecontroleerd ingebracht.
