De Bundesautobahn 6 is een Duitse autosnelweg die loopt vanaf de Franse grens bij Saarbrücken, via Kaiserslautern, Mannheim, Viernheim, Hockenheim, Heilbronn, Crailsheim, Neurenberg en Amberg naar de grens met Tsjechië bij Waidhaus. De A6 is 484 kilometer lang. Sinds de invoering van de snelwegnummering in 1975 draagt deze weg het nummer A6, hiervoor was het nummer A20 voor deze weg bedacht.
Alhoewel de A6 is bedoeld als west-oostverbinding van Duitsland, loopt de snelweg tussen Viernheimer Dreieck en Kreuz Walldorf 30 kilometer parallel aan de A5 die de noord-zuidverbinding is.
