Der Wilde Bernd is een legendarische persoon in het dorp Nienborg in de gemeente Heek in het westelijke Münsterland dicht bij de Nederlandse grens. Er is een monument aan hem gewijd.
Bernd was een stroper in de Nienborger bossen en zou tijdens de Dertigjarige Oorlog, rond 1633, het dorp hebben gered van plundering en brandstichting door de bemanning van kasteel Nienborg te waarschuwen voor de naderende troepen en zelfs, toen de nood door hun aanval groot was, hun leider te doden. De kasteelheren zouden hem drie wensen hebben verleend. Hij vroeg: „Frie fisken, frie jagen en frie schieten in`n Grawen.“ Laatstgenoemde betrekking had op het uitsluitend recht van de kasteelbemanning om zich in de gracht van het kasteel te verlichten. Onderzoek in archieven heeft aangetoond dat de persoon Bernd mogelijk daadwerkelijk heeft bestaan.
