Leer is een Landkreis in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. De Landkreis telt 171.483 inwoners op een oppervlakte van 1.085,71 km².
De Landkreis omvat de stad Leer en vier historische landschappen daaromheen: Reiderland in het westen, Moormerland in het noorden, Overledingerland in het zuidoosten en Lengenerland in het noordoosten. Ook de waddeneilanden Borkum en Lütje Hörn vallen onder Leer. Dit laatste eilandje behoort tot geen enkele gemeente: het heeft de status van "gemeentevrij gebied".
