Het natuurreservaat Aspeler-Schmales Meer ligt op het terrein van de stad Rees in de gemeente Kleve in Noordrijn-Westfalen, is sinds 2010 aangewezen als beschermgebied en beslaat een oppervlakte van 23 hectare.
Het dient vooral ter bescherming en behoud van twee landschappelijk waardevolle oude wateren en een biotoopcomplex van oude wateren, structuurrijke graslanden en oude parkachtige bomen. Het ontwikkelingsdoel is het creëren van een natuurvriendelijk stilstaand water door het aanleggen van ondiepe waterzones en de ontwikkeling van extensief gebruikt grasland.
