Het landgraafschap Hessen-Darmstadt was een staat binnen het Heilige Roomse Rijk. De staat ontstond in 1567 na de verdeling van het landgraafschap Hessen na de dood van Filips I tussen zijn vier zonen. Na de Napoleontische tijd werd het landgraafschap verheven tot groothertogdom.
