Palamós is een gemeente in de Spaanse provincie Girona in de regio Catalonië met een oppervlakte van 14 km². In 2007 telde Palamós 17.400 inwoners.De stad ligt aan de Costa Brava. Ze werd gesticht op 3 december 1279 door Peter III van Aragón, die een nieuwe haven wilde omdat de vorige koninklijke haven in Torroella de Montgrí aan de monding van de Ter verzilt was.
