Archidona is een gemeente in de Spaanse provincie Málaga in de regio Andalusië met een oppervlakte van 186 km². In 2017 telde Archidona 8398 inwoners.
Tijdens het Emiraat van Córdoba kwam de stad in opstand tegen emir Al-Mundhir. Die kon in 888 de stad innemen, terwijl de leider van de opstand, Umar ibn Hafsun, zich met zijn troepen terugtrok in de zuidelijke bergstreken van Al-Andalus. Als straf voor deze opstand werden de notabelen van de stad afgevoerd naar Córdoba en daar gekruisigd.
