Monte Hacho is een berg in de buurt van de stad Ceuta. Voor christenen stond deze berg bekend als Monte Almina. Deze berg werd door velen beschouwd als een van de Zuilen van Hercules. De Zuilen van Hercules waren de legendarische rotsformaties die sinds de oudheid de grens tussen de Middellandse Zee en de Atlantische Oceaan markeerden. Monte Almina en de rots van Gibraltar werden gezien als belangrijke kandidaten voor de Zuilen van Hercules.
