Het plein Plaza Mayor ligt in het hartje van de stad. Op dit plein wordt er geen verkeer toegelaten. Als je hier even wilt komen vertroeven kom je in een oase van rust en schoonheid terecht. In de tijd van de middeleeuwen lag dit plein buiten de stadsmuren en het hette toen Plaza de Arribal. Het plein was destijds een toneel voor gruwelijke taferelen zoals gladiator- en stierengevechten.
