Het kasteel van Montgrí is een militaire versterking gebouwd tussen 1294 en 1304 door koning Jaume II, op de top van het Montgrí-massief in Torroella de Montgrí, Bajo Ampurdán. De Montgrí is een kleine kalkstenen berg, met een hoogte van 315 m boven zeeniveau en gelegen op 6 km van de zee. De top biedt ons een indrukwekkend uitzicht over heel Ampurdán, tot aan de Canigó.
