De GC-1 op het eiland Gran Canaria is de grootste snelweg van het eiland en na de TF-1 op Tenerife de grootste snelweg van de Canarische Eilanden. De GC-1 is tevens de drukste snelweg van het eiland en de trajectlengte bedraagt circa 77 km. De weg leidt onder andere toeristen van de Luchthaven Gran Canaria naar de bekende plaatsen Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés en elders. De snelweg loopt vanaf Las Palmas de Gran Canaria tot aan het zuidwesten van het eiland en splitst zich op in de GC-200 en de GC-500 nabij Puerto de Mogán.
