Het voormalige Hospital de la Santa Caridad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo werd in de 15e eeuw gesticht door de Broederschap van de Heilige Liefde van Onze Heer Jezus Christus. Tegenwoordig is het het Museum voor Schone Kunsten.
Het Hospital de la Caridad of Hospital de la Caridad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, gelijknamig aan de Broederschap die opdracht gaf tot de bouw ervan, was bedoeld om zieken te genezen en behoeftigen te helpen en op te vangen.
Met de komst van de Onafhankelijkheidsoorlog in 1810 werd het gebouw omgebouwd tot een bloedziekenhuis om de gewonden te helpen, nog steeds onder controle van de Broederschap.
