Sinds de opening in 1867 wordt het Musée de Picardie in Amiens beschouwd als een van de mooiste musea van Frankrijk. Het is ontworpen naar het voorbeeld van het Louvre van Napoleon III en verzamelt en presenteert rijke collecties archeologie, beeldhouwkunst, kunstvoorwerpen en schilderijen, en neemt bezoekers mee op een reis van het paleolithicum tot nu.
